Here are a few historical photos of boating and maritime trades in Fort Bragg, California. These were at The Guest House Museum of Mendocino County on the Pacific Coast.
The town of Fort Bragg California is small and cute, but has very few views of the Pacific Ocean on which it resides. Most of the waterfront is occupied by the now inactive logging and shipping mill which excludes the public and blocks most oceanfront views. Apparently this was the plant that historically processed many of the huge Redwood trees cut down in Mendocino county.
The beach here is one of the most famous for beach glass collection because there used to be a large dump where glass and trash was deposited on the beach here.
