In Charlotte (Rochester) NY, they have long had the Stutson Street Bridge crossing the Genesee River to Irondequoit.  It got old and was finally demolished in 2004 and replaced with the now Colonel O’Rorke Memorial Bridge.  The style is still old fashioned and there is lots of brick and steel and I like it:
