One of my favorite subjects is the Erie Canal and this image of a Canal Boat in Pittsford intrigues me. Its shows a typical boating-canal system here in New York State. It was painted by George Harvey in 1837 of the Pittsford portion of the Erie Canal which is just East of Rochester, NY.
