I was walking along the Erie Canal and saw a mother duck herding her brood of ducklings in the water under the Liftbridge.  When I was getting back in my car I noticed they were one by one hopping out of the water near me at the Liftbridge Tower.  I got to within 2 feet of them with my wide angle lens and they seemed not the least bit concerned I was there. They have to be very recently hatched as they were tiny.
