There were an amazing amount of Manatees in the warm power plant water runoff this chilly Winter day in Tampa. There had to be well over 100 Manatees in the water and many had calves and came out very close to the viewing walkways so you could see them. At noon, the TECO plant blew some kind of loud siren and the Manatees all dove underwater deeply to not hear it. They quickly all came back up to the surface.
