This image was taken last fall in the Adirondacks at Blue Mountain Lake.  It was a little early for the leaf color change, but there was still mottled yellow and orange in the surrounding mountains.  Those are little islands out on the lake and if you look closely you can see the cedar trees are all trimmed to the same height around the entire lake.  This is caused by the deer eating the cedars when the lake it frozen looking quite a bit like someone has taken a hedge trimmer to them.

This image was made from 4 images and stitched into a panorama. Better if viewed large.
