In the wonderful Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake we were visiting the Rustic Cabin last with all its original and authentic Adirondack Style Furniture. Downstairs in this cabin overlooking the lake was the “Great Room” or main room which was two stories and airy. The room had the mullioned windows with their diamond panes of glass and lots of quaint furniture. I love that table with the wild root legs and feet.
On the left hand wall is an Adirondack style log bed with a very special original red wool blanket on it. It says “Uncas” since it is from the original Uncas Great Camp owned originally by J.P. Morgan and built by W.W. Durrant. Uncas still exists and is for sale today.
