Here are a few photos of the Upper Falls at Letchworth State Park on a dreary grey day in early Fall.  This railroad bridge is soon to be taken down after being dismantled.  The Genesee River has cut a deep gorge here and throughout Letchworth State Park and is sometimes called “The Grand Canyon of the East”.

There was much debate about what the wires were that were hanging down from the bridge as they did not go into the water and didn’t stop logs and debris. Perhaps they were just a warning for boaters on the river above that danger was ahead.
