Letchworth State Park in Western New York State has been called “the Grand Canyon of the East” and this view shows why.  Over thousands of years the Genesee River has cut a deep gorge through the solid rock making a wide expanse.  This has caused the rock of the area to wear away into these large and crumbly cliffs.  It seems amazing that the river below has done all this.
