We are nearing the end of our tour of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida.  The museum is on the edge of the grounds of the Ringling Circus Museum, but it holds no Circus Art.  That is all in the Ringling Circus buildings on the other side.  Here in the John and Mable Ringling Museum is all traditional and modern art from all over the world and from ancient to modern times.  It is a vast and remarkable collection.

Here in one wing was a large wall of art displayed in close fashion with each painting almost touching the other.  This was the display method back in castles in olden times and in European museums way back.  It is just an example of how things were displayed and today appears crowded with no space for placards telling of each painting.
