As you approach or leave the Ringling Circus Museum in Sarasota, Florida you come through the original Gate House arch with its wrought iron gates and Venetian Gothic architecture.  Just beyond the Circus Museum has built a large building complex and new entrance.  This gate used to be the entrance to the original mansion Ca’d’Zan , (House of John), on the Sarasota Bay Waterfront in the 1920’s and was only much later taken over by the State of Florida and the Ringling Musuem.  This arch would have led you down a road with a view of the mansion and through the gardens and Banyon trees of the Ringlings to their private residence.
