Let us walk through the George McGough Nature Park, or as I like to call it, The Narrows Park in Largo, Florida. This is a small park off of Umberton Road right on the intercoastal waterway. It is hidden and hardly seen as you drive by, but don’t miss it. After the sign, you walk into the entrance and come across this little pond with beautiful Florida Cypress trees with their knees sticking up for air. This is the Turtle pond where kids can buy the correct food and feed the turtles that are teeming in the water. In the background there are chairs to sit in to take in the scenery.
The FL cypress trees have recently started their Spring foliage growth in this area.
Their Winter dormancy stage is about over. New foliage looks fresh & beautiful.
