The Carriage House is one of three buildings reconstructed at the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Darwin Martin House in Buffalo, NY. The original was partially or wholly torn down to put up hideous and poorly designed flat and square apartment buildings. These were eventually torn down and the original Frank Lloyd Wright buildings were restored to their former glory and design. This two story Carriage house at first housed horses and carriages in the early 1900’s and then later early automobiles. It has a similar design to the horizontally designed Main House and is connected to the other buildings by walls.
