At the Greycliff Estate by Frank Lloyd Wright South of Buffalo N.Y. on the cliffs of Lake Erie, they even had spectacular hardware for the doors.  Most of the doors had octagonal brass or bronze door knobs, and the bathrooms had octagonal white glass or enamel knobs.  The hinges were unusual and modern looking like they could be from Star Trek but they were from 1927.  All appeared to be original and I have seen them no where else, but they were ordered, not made by Frank Lloyd Wright.

The hinge below is known as the “Olive Knuckle Hinge” and is still sold by the original McKinney hardware of 90 years ago.
