While driving in Northern California I spotted a red barn way off in the distance no where near any town or exit even. It reminded me of tobacco barns down in North Carolina. I had to take a closer look and drove many back roads to find it. It was down a semi private dirt road way out in the middle of a vineyard. It was so hot at midday that the road was dusty and the sky lifeless. I think it was close to 104 degrees. This barn is iconic and I would love to know the history around it and if it were used elsewhere in California.

The grape vines here were absolutely ancient by the thickness of the stems and how nicely they were trimmed.
