Happy Memorial Day, especially to all the veterans and their families who have lost loved ones in the service to their country.
At the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park on board the U.S.S. Croaker submarine, the torpedo bays were ready and waiting. They had been polished to the hilt and were ominously marked “Warning, Warshot Loaded”. I could not find the “fire torpedo” button anywhere. This was at the front or bow of the ship and there were four more torpedo tubes at the rear or stern of the sub in case you thought you would sneak up from behind.
