We are at the famous Appomattox Court House National Historic Park in Virginia and exploring around the grounds. After walking down the long road to one of the farthest houses the guide said that this place was just about the spot the last few shots were fired in the Civil War before the surrender was signed by General Lee in front of General Grant. This quiet area is a fence line of split rails in a traditional zig zag pattern and under some trees for some shade.
