I was fortunate enough this Fall to see the Sunshine City, (St Pete), Antique and Collectible Show held in the historic and classic Coliseum. The three times a year show is all inside to keep you out of the chilly Fall and Winter weather of 70 degrees. A link to the website is here: Sunshine City.
The building itself is a treasure seen here in a few outside views:
ISO 100, F/9, 1/400 sec, 30 mm Lens
The St Pete Coliseum, built in around 1924 was designed in the Mediterranean revival style and is one of the South’s largest operating ballrooms. Many of the Luxury Hotels like the Vinoy had dances here in the early part of the 1900’s and today still they hold events with Ballroom dancing so check it out if you are in the area.
Inside views of the Sunshine City Antique and Collectible Show are here. It was filled with quality stalls of antique posters, furniture, Silver, vases, trinkets and all kinds of interesting things.
As you can see there are people moving all about on these very long exposures.
