While walking the back streets of Tarpon Springs, Florida we came across a nice neon sign for Costa’s Restaurant complete with an unusual neon sponge or fishing boat. I am not sure what it says in the green writing at the bottom. There were many wires hanging on all sides of this sign, but I didn’t “remove” them.

Driving to Tarpon Springs, Florida is always fun going through downtown Duneidin and along the intercoastal towns. The Sponge Docks area is the tourist area, but it is lovely and full of history including traditional sponge boats full of sponges, authentic Greek restaurants and many souvenir shops. In the center of the docks area is this bronze memorial statue to the famous sponge diver.

inTarpon Springs, Florida is a very beautiful and interesting town on the West coast. Besides all the sponge boats, Greek restaurants and souvenir shops there are decorated bicycles.
