Willem de Kooning was an American artist living from 1904-1997. Here at the Carnegie Museum of Art, his bronze statue is called “Large Torso” and is an expressionistic dissolution of the figure in three dimensions. It looked like a grotesque melting man to me.

Debauchery, dissipation, profligacy, licentiousness, wantonness may each be substituted for your phrase “dissolution of the figure in three dimensions”.
